Phlaunt Hair Photo Shoot w/ America’s Next Top Model - Eva Marcelle (Pigford)

Eva photshoot picture1As with every shoot, regardless of how well you plan, the unexpected is bound to emerge. The day started with word from Eva that she would need to leave early for a last minute reading with a major movie director. That said, we’d only have 2.5 hours to shoot the 8 looks that were originally proposed! Due to our website launch deadline constraints, rescheduling was not an option. We would need to come with our “A” game. Fashion photographers Gaelle Morand and Chris Zwirner rose to the occasion. Eva’s personal makeup artist Kalefe brushed on a “pretty-girl beat” and pulled Eva’s shoulder length hair into a tight bun to prep her for our “Before” look. Eva’s professionalism eased all worries about timing when she nailed the first look in the first few frames. 10 minutes into the shoot we were ready for our “After” look. We applied our Phreshed Relaxed Lace wig using a thin layer Walkers Ultra Hold adhesive. The swiss lace melted right into Eva’s caramel skin with no problem. A light spritz of hair spray and few swipes of our FHI Runway flatiron and Eva was ready to go! A few clicks and flashes later and Eva was back in our chair, ready for her next look. We then applied the amazing Malaysian Phenom . This unit looked amazing right out of the bag, however, to give the hair dimension we used a razor comb to create subtle, long layers. Kalefe turned the makeup up a notch with a deeper lip color and eyeshadow. Stylist Jennifer Austin accessorized the look with a beaded chain. Once again, Eva showed the carmera who was boss by nailing it in a few frames. Back in our chair minutes later, we applied our Phunky Curl . This one we also customised with a few soft layers. A lavender accented bracelet was added and the “top model” was ready to go. Clicks later we were ready for the Phashion Wave look. We decided to leave the length on this unit so we’d have some hair to play with for our fashion shots which would shoot next. After shooting the Phashion Wave we decided to take the makeup up even further with a smokey eye and nude lip. Jennifer dressed Eva in a “glammed up” motorcyle girl look. The photographers adjusted the lights for a more high fashion intensity. The D-Eva worked the camera and before long we were ready for the second fashion look. Jennifer Eva photshoot picture2supplied a sexy yet classic red dress and a hand made baby top hat (it reminded us of the little hat worn on “In Living Color’s” “Men on Film” skits….LOL) this shot took us right up to our last minute with Eva. After the last frame we literally tore the clothes off of her and sent her on her way. We decided to give Eva a little “parting gift” as she left. She choose the Malaysian Phenom unit and skipped out of the studio frantically as not to miss her appointment. The shoot WAS a success! Amazing photographers and an outstanding model saved the day! Looking back that was a crazy 2.5 hours (4 applications! + cleanups) but we made it! Enjoy!
